INVISIBLE CITIES I
The purpose of this exercise was to design a city based on the book Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. Each student was assigned a city from the book. After reading the text they had to create a nolli of their cities as they imagine they could be. They had to take an empty paper and with an eraser and charcoal they had to carve the streets and non-built spaces of their cities. Additionally, they had to create a drawing that represented the essence of their cities.
FINAL INVISIBLE CITIES
The final part of these series of assignments was to create a board that told the story of their cities. Including the nolli maps previously created and adding new graphics like a land use map, a detailed building map and new drawings that could tell the story of their cities to a person that has never seen the project.
