CHANGING CHARACTER OF CONFLICT
With an interdisciplinary team of researchers and a novel approach, this project explores the changes in the character of the conflict. It pays special attention to changes in five dimensions: the actors involved in the conflict, the impact of the conflict on the civilian population, the environments in which the conflict takes place, the methods used in the conflict and, finally, the resources that drive the conflict. One of the main goals of the project is to create a knowledge base platform for academics, professionals, policy makers and the general public to understand the changing nature of the conflict.
This is part of The Changing Character of War Center (CCW) project at the University of Oxford, a project funded by the UK Research Council Association for Conflict, Crime and Security Research.
